Upon Completion of the course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe updated diabetic foot care based on evidence from the literature
- Identify current approaches in the surgical management of amputees
- Understand prosthetic components and use evidence-based knowledge to discuss indications and advantages of various prosthetic devices
- Identify appropriate clinical problem solving strategies for gait training
- Provide appropriate clinical treatment for hip disarticulation and bilateral amputees
- Describe the biomechanics of higher level activities and develop strategies to help amputees participate
